Stevie

Three months in class. Then The Long Shadow.

He joined class in 2022. Stayed for three months. Studied the steps properly. During that time — completely off his own back — he booked a role on The Long Shadow.

He booked some 1:1s on the scenes, and we spent hours on every layer: the analysis, the objectives, the personalisations, and the emotional drive to make it real for the audience. Then he went to set. We spoke while he was there — directors’ notes, tweaks, adjustments.

We’ve taped regularly in 1:1s since. He’s booked consistently, and hasn’t needed group class in over a year. Now we mostly spitball objectives and subtle tactical shifts — he handles the rest.

Since then he has been on set for two feature films, booked three TV shows, appeared in the West End with Bryan Cranston, and lined up his first lead role straight after the play.

I don’t take any credit for it. We worked together, but he put in the hours. He applied the steps, showed up, and did the work honestly.

Booked the job

Sunny prepped his first lead role here — and on set knowing every scene.

Sunny Sanghera — first lead role, thirteen and a half hours across the whole script.

Rahima Delvero — preparing Lady Macbeth.

I’ve just booked my first paid role — having used the Chubbuck method in my self-tape. Thanks for your teaching x

Tom Panto — audition feedback

The 12 step sessions are a life changing experience. There is acting before and after experiencing and implementing Chubbuck technique. It unveils a power you didn’t know existed within yourself.

I would 100% recommend it and I have already. I love class because it is a safe place and you walk away feeling like you’ve had a good workout every single week.

Lizzie Davies

Rich was able to provide individual feedback and help me each time I was struggling to understand. Highly recommended if you want to improve as an actor and you are willing to put the effort in.

Hardeep Singh

It just bottom lines everything. You find what your character really wants. You find their primal truth and it just helps to embody it… It becomes really playful.

Harrison Booth

The sooner you accept it’s going to take longer than you want… the sooner it’ll happen faster than you expect.

Acting only feels “in the air” when everything is left there. When you commit — when you dig your heels in — the whole experience changes.
